Bring timeless beauty to the dining table with our Astier de Villatte Peony Bristol Dish. This pretty serving platter is a collaboration between two of our favorite makers — the legendary ceramicist Astier de Villatte and celebrated designer John Derian — and takes its inspiration from classic Dutch delftware. A type of tin-glazed pottery made in the Netherlands since the 16th century, delftware’s iconic blue-and-white palette and elegant designs were in turn derived from traditional Chinese pottery. Talk about art inspiring art! Handcrafted in Astier’s Paris workshop using locally-sourced black terracotta clay and dipped in the brand’s signature milky white glaze, it’s been finished with a delicate floral motif from Derian’s expansive collection of antique images, creating a dead ringer for authentic delftware. All other non-furniture items can be returned for a full refund, as long as they are returned within either 30 days of purchase if bought in store or 30 days after the order was received if bought on our website.
